A removed password still blocks the room
Patch 1.0.47.0 fixes lobby password removal not taking effect. Check your installed version and the room’s current password setting if this is the symptom you see.
A Steam friend cannot join
Check Invite player in the game instead of repeatedly using an unsuccessful join entry. Confirm whether the invitation reaches the friend and whether they appear in the same session.
The friend joins, but cannot play normally
Separate a failure to connect from a problem after joining:

The lobby password update addresses the password symptom. Do not assume it also fixes every movement, voice or interaction problem.
Send a useful support report
Include the host and guest platforms, installed versions, password state, the exact point where joining fails and any error text. For a problem after joining, describe what the guest can still do.
